Set in the resplendent grounds of City Park, NOMA (and the adjacent Besthoff Sculpture Garden) is one of the most important artistic facilities in the South. Picasso, Degas, and Miro are just a few of the names exhibited in this huge Beaux Arts building. There are culturally important works from around the world, with Asian, African, and of course American, works to the fore. The photography wing boasts a collection of some 10,000 pieces, while the sculpture garden (which can be visited free in its own right), is laden with pieces from Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth.
