Letterpress printing may someday be rendered obsolete by the digital age, but historic shops like Hatch Show Print are doing what they can to keep the art alive. Open since 1879, Hatch is one of Nashville's most iconic businesses. It's now owned by the Country Music Hall of Fame and, as of 2013, shares a large, open space with the museum (it previously had a cramped storefront right on Broadway). The shop is worth perusing for vintage concert posters and Music City memorabilia galore, but also for an up-close look at the letterpress process itself. Design enthusiasts can sign up for a guided tour ($15) or even enroll in one of Hatch's occasional printmaking workshops.
