At this stage in the culinary game, Nashville has something to satiate any craving. What it was sorely lacking, though—at least until early 2015—was a restaurant solely dedicated to breakfast food. Food truck owners Karl and Sarah Worley saw a void and pounced on it. After all, they already had a tried-and-true concept with their wildly popular Biscuit Love Brunch food truck, which they ran out of an Airstream from 2012 to 2014. Their roomy brick-and-mortar in the heart of the pedestrian-friendly Gulch features a wide array of filling breakfast concoctions, like the Princess hot chicken biscuit sandwich or the Gertie, a biscuit topped with peanut butter, chocolate gravy, caramelized banana jam, and a pretzel crunch. A side of bonuts—fried biscuit dough with lemon mascarpone and bluberry compote—is a must-order for any table.
