Moto-i, at Lyndale and Lake in Uptown, bills itself the first sake brewpub outside Japan. In addition to draft sake and namazake (unpasteurized specialty sake) the brewpub also serves the usual lineup of liquors, beers, and wine. The snacks menu features several house-made specialties like the green curry chicken dumplings and the Thai beef jerky. Rice, noodle, and soup dishes such as yakiudon and drunken noodle are on offer as well as a separate vegetarian and gluten-free menus. Moto-i's happy hour, daily from 2:20 to 6:00 p.m., features half-off sake, cork and tap specials, and a handful of tasty nibble like corn & shrimp fritters, sashimi and Asian ribs.
