Opened in 2015, the 1 Hotel South Beach mixes eco-friendly intentions with high design to create an oceanfront space that feels both chic and homey. Among the 426 guest rooms' and suites' green-leaning amenities are cardboard hangers, a triple water filtration system, and reclaimed wood headboards. The hotel attracts a more sophisticated crowd—one that can appreciate a daylife concept, which is exactly what the hotel promotes at its four pool decks, including the 30,000-square-foot Main Pool Deck, which features unobstructed ocean views. Beachcraft, Tom Colicchio's on-site, farm-to-table eatery (and his first Miami restaurant), is another of the hotel's high points.
