Plaza del Ángel
This arcade- or market-style complex is home to a number of antique shops selling Mexican, Latin American, American, European, and Asian objects. There's a range of items, styles, sizes, and prices for every budget. On the smaller, more affordable end, for example, are coins, stamps, postcards, and photo albums, many of which reflect stunningly beautiful Mexican landscapes. On the larger, more expensive end are oversized pieces of furniture, statuary, and paintings. Even for those with no intentions to buy, browsing the Plaza del Ángel (named for the nearby Angel of Independence monument on Avenida Reforma) is a fun way to while away part of a day in Mexico City.
