Zinco Jazz Club
This elegant jazz club in the Centro Histórico neighborhood is located inside a former bank vault, and it's a small-ish, intimate venue where practically every seat sits on the periphery of the stage. The longevity of this club means that it's developed a reputation among jazz musicians (as well as aficionados), and it draws major acts from around the world—Latin America in particular. Cocktails lean toward the classics: martinis, Manhattans, and Sazeracs, as well as mojitos, caipirinhas, and palomas. While it could easily play up its jazz connection and subterranean location for a Prohibition-era feel, Zinco avoids forcing those associations, and the club is all the better for it.
