Cookie
On the first floor of the vertical village known as Curtin House, Cookie is a cross between a beer hall and mod Thai eatery. The all-day restaurant's walls are covered with murals by local artists—female patrons can join a long-time tradition of adding their lip prints to the black-and-white poster of a crowd that adorns one wall—and there are quirky elements throughout, like plastic doilies and checks presented in the covers of children's books. The food, however, is serious: spicy, fragrant, and full of flavor.
