Don't be put off by the building's hideous brown metal facade. Once inside, kids will especially enjoy sailing back in history amid the naval museum's astonishing array of model ships—from miniature to majestic in scale—as well as massive cannons and torpedoes that tell the story of Spain’s sprawling maritime empire over five centuries. Because the museum belongs to the Spanish Navy, adults are required to show photo ID for admission.
