Historic, Local designers and products

Every year before spring and summer vacations start, you'll find long lines outside this traditional alpargatería founded in 1840. Better known in the U.S. by their French name, espadrilles, alpargatas are the Spanish shoe of summer. Local men and women will typically pick up several pairs—which cost just 5 euros each for the most basic flat models—at the start of the season.
