Map
842 S. Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90014, United States

One of the most renowned landmarks on downtown’s row of Broadway theatres, the Orpheum dates to 1926 and originally hosted vaudeville shows, legendary comedians like Jack Benny, and musical greats such as Duke Ellington and Aretha Franklin. Today, the theatre still presents a wide variety of events, from concerts and movie premiers to plays and film festivals. The Orpheum houses nearly 2,000 bright red seats in the orchestra, loge, balcony, and boxes, and the building also contains a white marble lobby, a wood-paneled lounge, and the Mighty Wurlitzer, one of only three original theatre organs in the region.
