Chef Kris Yenbamroong may not have attended a culinary school, but his experience growing up in his family’s restaurant inspired him to open this space in the heart of Silver Lake. The restaurant, surrounded by bright orange walls and colorful tablecloths, is known for its insanely delicious Northern-Thai street food, but some of the dishes may seem a bit intimidating. Luu suk, a dish consisting of pig’s blood, herbs, and topped with pork rinds, doesn’t sound the most appetizing for some customers. Instead, go for the crispy rice salad or the Chiang Rai–style fried-chicken sandwich.
