Centrally located near Beverly Hills and West Hollywood, Jar is a modern chophouse that draws inspiration from supper clubs of the 1940's. The dining room has brown banquettes surrounded by wood-paneled walls covered with old black-and-white photographs. The signature entrée is chef-owner Suzanne Tracht's pot roast, but other options include a 28-day, dry-aged Prime Kansas City steak, and braised oxtail with cipollini onions. Desserts are also traditional American favorites like chocolate pudding, banana cream pie, and an ice cream sundae. Cocktails range from classics like the Manhattan to the Margatini, made with Patron tequila, Cointreau, and house-made sweet and sour.
