Tom's Kitchen
Tom's Kitchen now has four locations in London, but this flagship is the one that we keep going back to. The man behind the concept, Tom Aikens, earned a Michelin star for his more formal eponymous restaurant, and applies similar techniques to this more casual alternative. It's about working with small and local suppliers, farmers he knows by name, then executing these original materials into something simple and wholesome. The brasserie-style restaurant serves modern European cuisine in a space decorated like an Edwardian country house, with exposed brick walls, wooden tables, a marble bar, and an open kitchen.
