Feitoria
Chef João Rodrigues runs Belém's Michelin-starred Feitoria, the most exciting and interesting of the city's starred brigade. Tasting menus ($90 to $152) come in Tradition, Travel, and Earth versions and make full use of Iberia's plenty, from rich olive oils from Joaquim Arnaud to standout dishes—like local pork neck with smoked eel—that push the boundaries of traditional Portuguese cuisine. The slick décor—a black-lacquer overdose—might put some off, but nobody walks out gastronomically unfulfilled.
