Red Pump Inn
Housed in a mid-18th-century coaching inn, this Ribble Valley B&B is known as much for its food as for its three guest rooms. Owners Jonathan and Martina Myerscough use fresh local ingredients to create a menu of seasonal British fare, which might include slow-roasted Pendle pork belly with cider gravy, paired with a hearty Black Sheep ale. The guest rooms, dubbed Tap, Tut, and Shive, are individually decorated with handmade furniture and large windows overlooking either Pendle Hill or Longridge Fell. Area activities range from shopping in the nearby town of Clitheroe to hiking in the adjacent Forest of Bowland.
