Legoland Florida Resort
Who would have thought that a small plastic brick invented by a Danish carpenter in 1932 would become a global empire—one that's given rise to movies and theme parks, including this one in Winter Haven? Formerly Cypress Gardens (some of which has been preserved), Legoland Florida encompasses almost 50 rides and attractions, as well as a botanical garden and a water park. A trademark attraction is a miniature version of the host country—in this case, Miniland USA. There are dozens of interactive exhibits that encourage children to pick up the famed bricks, as well as impressive sculptures and a chance to meet professional Lego builders.
