Located in a non-touristy part of town, the Dee Lite Bakery is best known for their guava chiffon cake made from a secret recipe since the bakery's opening in 1959. Other selections include the rainbow cake with alternating layers of lime, guava, and passionfruit, and a custard pie. A large storefront window allows a glimpse of the bakery staff as they put personal touches on baked goods. Cakes can be bought packaged or made-to-order. They also sell a range of crusty breads and croissants, which have been baked in Dee Lite's own European-style steam ovens.
