Hotel Indigo, London Paddington
One block from the Paddington tube station, this 64-room Indigo property (the first outside North America) overlooks the manicured landscape of Norfolk Square Gardens. The contemporary clean lines and well-balanced design is intended to appeal to hip, forward-thinking travelers, as much of the design elements were influenced by the Golden Mean principal, which seeks to achieve perfect proportions of art, math, and nature. Indeed, the hotel is long on personality and perks—featuring punches of pink and plum to offset its contemporary whites, plasma TVs and oversize beds in all guestrooms, and lobby décor that changes seasonally. Guestroom loos are kitted with Hansgrohe Rainshowers, mood lighting, heated towel racks, and Aveda toiletries.
