Strip House, Houston
One of Houston’s most famous steakhouses, the Strip House occupies a prime downtown location within walking distance of the George R. Brown Convention Center. Designed by David Rockwell, the dimly lit space features plush leather booths and red walls covered with black and white burlesque photos taken by Studio Manasse in the 1920's. Chef Mario Vidal's menu consists of perfectly-grilled New York strips and rib-eyes, and those opting for the double porterhouse or cote du beouf can watch as the meat is carved at the table. Signature sides include black truffle creamed spinach and goose fat potatoes.
