Ristorante Pane e Vino
One of Florence’s first wine bars, Pane e Vino (Bread and Wine) is just a 10-minute walk from the Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge). The spacious, barn-like interior has an exposed-beam ceiling with large skylights as well as mezzanine seating, lush potted palms, and a live video feed that enables patrons to watch the chefs at work on several TV screens. Owned by brothers Gilberto and Ubaldo Pierazzuoli, the restaurant serves Tuscan specialties such as fried zucchini flowers and ravioli with pear and pecorino. Dishes are paired with selections from the mostly Italian wine list, which features 250 bottles each week.
