Hotel Torre di Bellosguardo
Situated atop the hill of Bellosguardo, this distinctive hotel is housed in a Renaissance-era villa built around a 14th-century tower. Surrounded by olive groves and manicured gardens, the villa originally belonged to Dante’s friend Guido Calvacanti. Today, the hotel contains a reception area with centuries-old frescoes, as well as tall loggias, stone staircases, and 16 individually decorated guestrooms, most of which have antique beds and views of the Duomo framed by cypress trees. The hotel grounds also include a swimming pool and a small farm with donkeys, hens, a pony, and a vegetable garden that provides fresh produce for breakfast.
