Map
16 Piazza Santa Maria Novella, Florence, 50123, Italy

Behind a traditional gold-and-stucco exterior, this five-story medieval structure is now a four-star hotel furnished by architects Detti and Scarpa. Located in Piazza Santa Maria Novella, the hotel has a glass-walled lobby with black-and-white-striped armchairs and vibrant flower bouquets. Upstairs, the 102 guestrooms contain distressed wooden furniture, tan and white linens, and large windows overlooking the piazza or the inner courtyard. The view is even better on the rooftop terrace, which features a seasonal pool and 360-degree vistas of the Duomo, Basilica di Santa Maria Novella, and Palazzo Vecchio. The restaurant, I Chiostri, serves traditional Mediterranean and Tuscan cuisine.
