Ditta Artigianale Oltrarno
Award-winning barista Francesco Sanapo's lastest opening is located in the hip Oltrarno neighborhood and has a very different vibe to the original shop. The look in this two-level venue may be spare, sleek 1950s, but the menu of top-quality caffeine fixes on offer is the same: beans are sourced from small, independent producers and roasted in-house. There is traditional espresso and cappuccino, of course, or try one of the single-origin filtered or drip brews. The cocktail bar specializes in gin (there are some 150 from which to choose) and the restaurant menu temps with the likes of pumpkin and ricotta flan, chicken liver terrine with vin santo jelly, and 'lasagnette' with leeks and toasted almonds.
