Features
Romantic, Traditional style

Located just around the corner from the mercato di Sant'Ambrogio, Florence's most authentic produce market, this characterful, wood-panelled cafe serves up excellent coffee and superb cakes plus drinks, savory snacks, and light meals. Part of personable Florentine chef Fabio Picchi's mini-gourmet empire, this is a casual alternative to his elegant (and expensive) Ristorante Cibreo to sample classics such as tomato and basil aspic or 'seppie in inzimino', a rich stew of cuttlefish and Swiss chard. On Saturdays, it fills with Florentines taking a break from their grocery shopping.
