Many of those who visit Dublin want to tuck into a plate of fish and chips, but it’s a surprisingly tough dish to get right. One place that does is Catch 22, a seafood restaurant on South Anne Street (just opposite Kehoe’s pub). Inside, whitewashed wooden walls and enamel dishes give off a casual, beachside shack feel, and the dish to order is the fish and chips. Fresh cod comes in a pale ale batter that’s perfectly crisp, requiring only a tap with a fork to reveal succulent, steamed fish on a bed of chunky fries with a creamy tartar sauce. If you’re a seafood fan, this is the best spot in town.
