Originally a turn-of-the-century pharmacy, the Chelsea Drugstore is the perfect spot for a sly drink on George’s Street. Inside, the room is so moodily lit it’s practically plunged into complete darkness (though you’ll happily squint at a cocktail menu in exchange for lighting this flattering). For a small space, there are a good number of nooks and crannies to sink into, the corners kitted out with overstuffed armchairs and curved booths. The gin offerings are particularly strong, with several pages of the menu dedicated to variations of the classic G&T. Opt for an Irish craft gin, like Gunpowder, served with fennel, grapefruit bitters, and Fevertree tonic.
