Hanson's Shoe Repair
Even though the idea of a modern-day speakeasy is romantic, the absence of Prohibition means it's a useless tag. That being said, there's nothing wrong with what Hanson's Shoe Repair actually is: a boutique bar that does Prohibition-era cocktails extremely well. To gain entry to the 30-seat enclave, you need to call and leave your number—you'll receive a text if there's availability. The former cobbler's shop retains its Victorian ambiance, and the bourbon-forward cocktails are a singular delight. The bartenders are far from snobby about their craft, and will gladly regale you with the history of your drinks. Hanson's is quirky, atmospheric, and a welcome curiousity in the Orlando bar scene.
