At one of Union Station's flagship restaurants, chef Alex Seidel takes on elevated Mediterranean-inspired comfort food without all the pretense. Indulge in perfectly executed mussels, rich foie gras, and a crispy half-chicken in a sophisticated dining room with soaring ceilings and views into the open-air kitchen. An in-house market sells charcuterie and cheese during the day and also serves as a more casual bar space at dinner. In nice weather, Mercantile's extensive patio is on a pedestrian plaza and is the ideal place to enjoy a bottle of dry French rosé.
