These days a constantly evolving bar scene has brought upscale cocktails to Denver’s forefront. Of course, locals and tourists alike still flock to Denver’s best breweries, including classics like Great Divide, where you can sample the award-winning Colette Farmhouse Ale or the Yeti Imperial Stout. But for late-night drinking, cocktails reign supreme at staples like Williams & Graham, a low-lit speakeasy that’s consistently been ranked as one of America’s best bars. Jazz lovers should head to Dazzle for martinis and first-rate musicians, and there are even dive bars perfect for karaoke (Star Bar) and wine bars with a bit of literary flair (BookBar). One thing you won’t find in Denver is a lively 3 a.m. nightlife. Unlike in some larger cities, ordinances require last calls by 2 a.m.
