At the tip of Cape Cod National Seashore in Provincetown is Race Point, a wide beach where dolphins and whales are often spotted offshore. Active types will want to explore the eight-mile Cape Cod Province Lands Bike Trail, which winds through towering sand dunes. Don’t miss a visit to the Race Point Lighthouse, established in 1816. You can even stay awhile: the three bedrooms in the 1840s Keeper's House are available for rent.
