For a closer look at the short life of glamorous first lady Eva Perón—who famously said she'd “return and become millions”—head to the Evita Museum, which recounts her professional and personal moves. Housed in a posh mansion Perón converted into a women’s refuge, it houses memorabilia from her childhood years and her career in showbiz. Photos, videos, and personal artifacts such as suits and hats complete a collection that spans the seven years she worked in public life alongside husband Juan Domingo Perón. Guided tours in English are available. The museum also has an excellent restaurant, a dignified spot with a beautiful patio that serves contemporary Argentine cuisine. It’s well worth a lunch pit stop.
