El Obrero
El Obrero, which translates to the worker, is a porteño classic thanks to its abundant steak and Spanish and Italian dishes, friendly service, and sports memorabilia. Book ahead as this family-run joint–open since 1954 in La Boca neighborhood–is always packed and often frequented by celebrities; members of U2 dine here when they’re in town. Order the fried squid rings to start, then move onto homemade pasta, abundant rice and seafood dishes, or grilled meats. Leave space for dulce de leche pancakes.
