La Esperanza de los Ascurra
This sibling-run tapas bar takes its inspiration from Madrid, and this outpost (one of four) is a busy joint in Villa Crespo. Tapas such as burrata cheese, whitebait, and deep-fried squid rings come in a variety of portion sizes, and the classic Spanish caña on tap is available here. Other beverages include classic cocktails as well as vermouth and apéritifs, ideal for a pre-dinner sip. Head to the Palermo Hollywood branch for a less claustrophobic ambiance and an ample roof terrace or to Recoleta for an indoor Art Deco vibe.
