From its seafood-focused menu to its patriotic decorating scheme, the Fireplace is a classic New England restaurant. Menu items range from lobster rolls or a maple-glazed half chicken for dinner to cornmeal waffles or cod cakes for brunch. Seating is available in the floor-level bar and lounge area, which is kept warm by a large stone-covered fireplace, or in the elevated red and beige-tinged dining room. American flags and red, white, and blue fan drapes are frequently displayed. The Fireplace has live music twice a week; Wednesday is jazz night and Thursday is Latin. Gluten-free menus are available, too.
