The resort, on Manchioneel Bay on the northwest side of 480-acre Cooper Island, has no nightclubs, casinos, shops, or even televisions in the rooms. And there’s not a single car on the island. Not much is needed to enjoy yourself here. Read on the beach. Swim in the ocean. Watch the sunset. If you must do something, snorkel, dive, or kayak; the on-site dive shop gives instructions and rents equipment.

Getting There: The resort’s private boat transports guests to and from Tortola three days a week, and by special arrangement.
