Established in 1900 by hotelier Lucias Boomer, owner of New York’s Waldorf=Astoria, the Lenox is located in the Back Bay, within walking distance of Newbury Street and Boston Common. Former guests include Jeff Bridges, Steve Martin, and Judy Garland, who lived in suite No. 423 for more than three months in 1965. Inside the stately Beaux-Arts building, the 214 guestrooms feature high ceilings, brass chandeliers, mahogany furniture, and crystal lamps. The Lenox is known for its eco-friendly practices, including a hybrid car service and energy efficient lighting, as well as little extras like cookies and bottled water with turndown service.
