Bermuda Aquarium, Museum & Zoo
After a major renovation, the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum & Zoo (BAMZ) has reclaimed its mantle as one of the island’s top family-friendly attractions. Walk through zoo exhibits featuring small birds, reptiles, and mammals found on other islands around the world, including lemurs and fossa from Madagascar and wallabies and tree kangaroos from Australia. Learn about how the island was created from a volcanic explosion at the natural history museum, and in the newly redesigned aquarium, don’t miss the 140,000-gallon tank where you can view schools of tropical reef fish and large predators like sharks and black grouper. Got little ones? Grab a snack at the bay front café, then hit the playground with its pirate ship, sandbox, and slides.
