Whether you’re searching for a piece of Bermuda art to adorn your walls, fine jewelry to celebrate a certain occasion, or a unique gift, you’re bound to find great shopping in the City of Hamilton. After all, Bermuda’s capital city is where the majority of the island’s shops and boutiques are found—although some have outposts in the historic town of St. George’s or the Royal Naval Dockyard on the island’s west end. One of those is the Island Shop, which sells pottery, linens, trays, glasses, and tableware with the hand-painted designs of local artisan Barbara Finsness. Another can’t-miss shop is Alexandra Mosher Studio Jewellery, a dreamy boutique in the Washington Mall that sells Bermuda’s original line of pink sand necklaces, rings, earring, bracelets, and pendants, most of which are set in sterling silver. Whatever you do, don’t leave without a pair of TABS. Short for The Authentic Bermuda Shorts, TABS come in a variety of island-inspired colors including Princess Pink and Elbow Beach Yellow and are sold at A.S. Cooper & Sons: Man on Front Street.
