Marcus'
When celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson brought his brand of Caribbean-inspired soul food to a harborfront space at the Hamilton Princess in May 2015, it ushered in a new era of island dining. At Marcus', the food is fresh and locally sourced whenever possible, which means you'll be eating fresh wahoo, hind, or rockfish in your blackened fish and grits and in your Harlem chowder, local lobster (when in season), along with just harvested corn, potato, and fennel. Don't pass on the jerked pork belly and fish chowder bites—two creations from Executive Chef Leonardo Marino, who worked for Samuelsson at Red Rooster in New York—or the fried chicken and waffles, a Samuelsson classic that followed him here from Harlem.
