Ranked one of the best orchestras in the world, the Berlin Philharmonic calls the Philharmonie home. Celebrated for its acoustics and architecture, the concert hall was designed by architect Hans Scharoun and opened after three years of construction, in late 1963. (The original Philharmonie was destroyed by British bombers on January 30, 1944, the 11th-anniversary of Hitler becoming Chancellor.) Join locals here for fantastic programming and great rates.
