Sunningdale Golf Club
Considered one of the top golf clubs in the nation, Sunningdale has two 18-hole championship courses: the Old Course, designed by Willie Park Jr. in 1901, and the more rugged New Course, created by Harry Colt in 1923. Both courses are set on a heath, surrounded by small ponds, fields of heather, and towering pine and oak trees. The Old Course hosted many tournaments over the decades, including the British Masters and Women’s British Open. Housed in a stately brick building, the clubhouse evokes a sense of history with antique oil paintings, sepia-toned photographs, and an old-fashioned clock.
