Hôtel Baie des Anges
Finding a bargain on St. Bart’s can be a challenge. But this intimate, family-owned property delivers a stellar beachfront location—it’s set on the western end of Flamands Bay—at an affordable price point. Accommodations are clustered around a terracotta-tiled central courtyard, which also has a pool, a handful of dining tables, and a massive lobster tank—you can pick your own and they’ll grill it for you at the hotel’s tiny fine-dining restaurant, La Langouste. With their tiled-roofs and gingerbread-trim, the hotel’s pale-blue buildings look distinctly Caribbean, but inside, the 10 recently renovated studios, which all have kitchenettes, feel more contemporary. Note for families or couples traveling together: the master suite comes with two bedrooms and a patio with a Jacuzzi.
