Royal New Zealand Ballet
There are advantages to being a young country. With the constraints of traditions lessened, there’s room to breathe and innovate. At an artistic level, the Royal New Zealand Ballet demonstrates how creativity, fresh energy, and dynamism can be infused into the long-standing discipline that is ballet. The RNZB is unique in the repertoire it offers New Zealanders and the world. The work of artistic director Francesco Bentriglia, who trained at Milan’s La Scala and was appointed in 2014 (replacing American Ethan Stiefel), will debut this year. Book well in advance.
