Le Méridien Étoile
Built in 1972 by Air France, Le Méridien Étoile is a 1,025-room business hotel near Porte Maillot, La Defense, and directly opposite Palais des Congrès. The Jetson's-like lobby by designer Jean-Philippe Nuel is a sensory experience, with its unique scent, sound, and use of neon light. Guest rooms are decorated with black and beige tones, while suites are upgraded to white leathers, silver fixtures, and bright-white duvets. The hotel’s jazz club Étoile hosts nightly concerts (often by marquee acts like BB King and Ike Turner) and an all-you-can eat buffet. Restaurant L'Orénoc specializes in local French cuisine with global influences.
