With nearly 30 years as a travel advisor under her belt, Learat has organized vacations for all types, including wealthy businesspeople and celebrities. In Ireland, where she is based for part of the year, she is able to organize VIP experiences like helicopter rides over the Cliffs of Moher and stays at extravagant country homes and manors, including Ballyfin and Dromoland and Lismore castles. Her Dublin-based team has a private portfolio of more than 150 castles and historic manors in Scotland and Irelands, thanks to carefully cultivated relationships with aristocratic property owners. Recently, she hooked a VIP client up with a stay at the lavish 17th-century estate of the Duke of Abercorn in Ireland’s County Tyrone. In Kenya, her other area of speciality, a recent itinerary included an overnight stay with the Sambaru tribe and a wildlife tour hosted by documentary filmmaker Reinhard Radke.
"My husband and I worked with Siobhan to plan our recent trip to Ireland. When the time came for our departure to Dublin, we ran into major obstacles with our airline reservations, which influenced many of the activities we had planned with Siobhan (including our hotel stay, driver-guide, and other pre-booked activities). She was on emergency call, and after our tearful chat, she addressed every concern. She cheerfully rearranged and kept our itinerary as close to our original scheduling, and did it with such efficiency that our trip proceeded with no hiccups. All events, hotels, and our wonderful driver guide made for a lovely trip. Adams and Butler checked on us and made sure that our travel experience was five-star. Siobhan is a superb travel agent!" - Meg Bartlett
