Mark Nolting

Minneapolis-born Nolting fell in love with Africa after spending two years traveling across the continent. Throughout his more than 30 years at his firm, the Africa Adventure Company, he has continued to deepen the relationships he formed during that time. Nolting can plan multi-generational trips — he frequently visits the continent with his sons — as well as more adventurous options for intrepid travelers, like trekking, canoeing, and walking safaris. Especially in-demand are trips that combine the diverse landscapes of Zimbabwe and Botswana, and what he calls “Plains and Primates” itineraries, which transition from traditional game drives in the Serengeti to gorilla and chimpanzee tracking in nearby Rwanda and Uganda. He predicts that the Republic of Congo and the Central African Republic, two lesser-traveled, politically precarious countries, may be developing safari destinations to watch in the coming years, based on a recent trip which he described as “one of the best safaris I have taken in my 33 years in the business.”

"I have worked with Mark Nolting for more than 20 years on 14 safaris. He is always accessible for consultation, highly knowledgeable about the countries, camps, and guides he recommends, and provides a detailed itinerary that guides me through every aspect of the trip. I attribute my love of traveling to Africa to Mark, because he shares the continent with me through his eyes. His arrangements ensure that I am comfortable, safe, and have the ultimate experience on each and every trip." - Ronnie Cantor
