Louisa Fisher

T+L TOP TRAVEL ADVISOR | DIVING SPECIALIST

Salt water practically flows through Louisa Fisher’s veins. As a toddler she spent hours poking around in rock pools, and at age 11, she learned to dive. A degree in marine biology led to almost two decades of exploring underwater, from feeding manta rays in the Maldives to plunging between tectonic plates off of Iceland. Now, Fisher arranges 60 custom scuba trips a year, guiding clients to the most pristine corners of the earth. She’s able to plan through the lens of sustainable tourism, seeking out properties that contribute to marine conservation efforts.

With her vast firsthand knowledge of the water-covered parts of the globe, Fisher pinpoints the best places to dive for each client. Her most recent travels include dives in the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Mexico, Mozambique, Egypt, Oman, Indonesia, the Seychelles, Gozo, and Micronesia.

"When it comes to organising a speciality diving holiday Louisa Fisher cannot be beaten. Her knowledge of the world’s most spectacular (and often seemingly inaccessible) dive spots is unparalleled. Wave goodbye to those crowded, over-dived sites, and say hello to pristine reefs teeming with life. They do still exist, it’s just knowing where to find them; and Louisa will be sure to point you in the right direction! Moreover, Louisa’s planning of each trip has been meticulous. She thinks of everything. It is said that life is in the detail, and this is certainly a motto that Louisa takes to heart. No matter how remote the location we have travelled to, we have been met and well-looked after (whether that’s escorting us to a hotel or dive boat, making sure we made a flight connection, or simply arranging a meal at a good local restaurant in cases where a longer stop-over was unavoidable). As for Louisa’s hotel and liveaboard recommendations, they are just as special as the diving that they have to offer." - Andrew Hitchmough
