Joyce Falcone, also known as “the Italian Concierge,” has grown her company into an Italian travel authority since its inception back in 1994. What was once a list of contacts and recommendations, collected during her previous work as a tour guide, has turned into a veritable archive (nicknamed the “Black Book”) of the country’s hospitality who’s who. She is an excellent resource for finding the best boutique hotels and hideaways throughout the country, researching small properties and new openings every time she visits. Falcone has deep connections throughout Italy and excels at setting up custom experiential itineraries that include stops like the silk looms of Florence and a cooking school in Chianti.
As clients express increasing interest in active travel, Falcone has also continued to explore various ways to see the country — no tour bus needed. She’ll help plan anything from a classic walking tour in Cinque Terre to cycling through Tuscany or skiing in the Italian Alps. Her passion for the Italian-born Slow Food movement also makes her a go-to for thoughtful culinary adventures in Italy.
"She gets it right in every detail, even the small ones. Best hotels, drivers, tour guides and restaurants. Our trip to Italy involved five cities — a lot of travel, a lot to see and do, and we wanted to do it all first class, without any problems. Joyce is fantastic to work with, gets everything handled, and makes sure you know exactly when and where you will be. She is by far the best travel expert we have ever worked with, and our trip with three older kids was magical for all of us! Joyce understands what a person (or, in our case, family) wants to see and do — and creates the perfect combination to get it right" - Mike Ruggio
