Rubin moved to China in 1997, establishing offices in Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai to plan custom private tours. He and his wife and business partner, Nancy Kim, are the leading travel advisors for the vast nation, making a point to visit each notable hotel opening and in-demand destinations from Huangshan to Chengdu.
Highlights of Rubin’s itineraries are the “Imperial Moments,” private-access opportunities and immersive cultural experiences that can only be found with Imperial Tours. Rubin is always researching and making connections to enable new experiences, like handling priceless ceramics (worth up to 40 million dollars) in Xi’an or challenging a table tennis champion to a ping pong match. Rubin’s company also has extensive experience planning travel in Hong Kong and Tibet.
"I have nothing but kudos for Guy Rubin and Imperial tours. Guy and his staff are extremely professional and provided almost immediate responses to my questions and possible changes in itinerary. From the planning, traveling, and return with follow-ups, Guy and his company made sure that everything was as we requested. Even when our ship was 6 hours delayed arriving, his staff was in constant communication with me and planning tour adjustments to make sure we didn't miss anything. The tour was more than we ever expected. The Imperial Moments were unusual, educational, thought provoking, and fun. Our entire group, as well as myself, have nothing but praise for Guy Rubin and Imperial Tours." - Janey Marbach
